The records

The roster of micro licenses comes from DCR’s Licensee Contact List Dashboard, which lists every active licensee regardless of approval to operate and which DCR says it updates monthly.¹ The dashboard renders only in a browser, so we read its two micro sheets (dispensary and wholesale) with the same method MOGanja uses and keep a dated copy. The current copy was retrieved Oct 30, 2026.

Addresses, counties and map coordinates for micro-dispensaries come from DCR’s Verified Dispensary Locator, read live and refreshed hourly.² Coordinates are DCR’s own; we do not geocode or guess. Micro wholesale sources inspected for this release supply no verified facility coordinates. A wholesale record stays in the list until a supported facility point is available.

Record IDs are DCR license numbers (MBD for micro-dispensaries, MBW for micro wholesale), the same keys MOGanja uses. The full set is available as JSON at /api/records.

DCR’s list includes a contact phone for each licensee. It is not a store phone and can be personal, so we do not publish it.

Dated source audit

Audit observed Oct 29, 2026. The source union contains the dated DCR active roster, additional MOGanja cached facility records and a separate historical revocation notice. It is not a current statewide census. Cache ingestion dates do not establish official publication, license status or opening.

The active-roster snapshot was retrieved Oct 30, 2026; the source publication date was not recorded. The accessible DCR locator supplies retail records and locations, with a source update of October 6, 2026 in the audit. It does not establish the full current active/revoked or wholesale roster.

DCR’s historical revocation notice (opens in a new tab) was published April 14, 2025 and retrieved October 30, 2026. Revoked entries stay separate from the dated active roster. No reinstatement or replacement license is inferred.

Only exact license or official facility-address website matches from the dated review are published as operator links. Company or brand matches with unconfirmed license linkage are withheld. No cached geocoder candidates, licensee contact phones, email candidates or outreach history are published.

When the live locator is unavailable, official facility points preserved in the audit may be shown with their original retrieval and publication dates. Missing coordinates stay unknown; city centroids are never substituted as facility pins. The JSON at /api/records includes each record’s source group and source dates.

Status labels

Approved

DCR’s list shows an approval-to-operate date. The date appears beside the mark.

Not approved

The dated DCR snapshot marks the license “Not Approved to Operate.” This is dated approval evidence; current active and operating status have not been reverified.

Not supplied

The record is in the locator but not in our copy of the licensee list, so we have no approval evidence for it.

Opening

Approval to operate is not proof that a door is open today. Every dispensary reads “Opening not independently verified” until a reviewed check (a staff visit, a call or an owner report) is recorded with its date and method. Visitor reports are moderated and never published automatically.

Dates and refreshes

Source refresh health shows scheduled checks, actual successful-check dates, failures and the reviewed update queue. DCR publication cadence is separate from our check schedule.

A source’s own publication date and the date we retrieved it are kept separate. We never replace a missing source date with today’s date. Locator data is cached for an hour; if a refresh fails, the last good copy stays in place, and if no copy exists the page says the source is unavailable rather than showing zero.

Visit details

Store phones, websites and hours were checked against each store’s own page or retailer-managed listing on the date shown, and only appear while the DCR license, city and address still match. Hours are store-published and may differ on holidays. Directions open Google Maps with the record’s published address. Outbound website links carry Missouri Micro referral parameters.

“Near” sorting uses straight-line distance, not driving distance. Your device location is requested only when you press “Use my location”; it stays in your browser and is never sent to us or stored.

The range map

County lines are from the US Census Bureau’s cartographic boundary files, via us-atlas 3.0.1, simplified and projected once at build time.³ ZIP code and city centroids for “Near” come from the Census 2024 Gazetteer files.⁴ The Kansas City and St. Louis metros in the key are the Missouri counties in those metropolitan statistical areas under the July 2023 OMB delineation.⁵ No map tiles or third-party map services are loaded.

Menu observations

Menu counts come from MOGanja’s stored third-party observations (Fuzzy), linked to a license only after a reviewed match of retailer name, city and menu URL.⁶ We show how many listings were observed and when, then link to MOGanja for browsing. Coverage is partial and is not a point-of-sale inventory. Observations older than three days are historical.

Ownership

Ownership sections show only public-record facts, each with a source and date. Names that appear only in published reporting are labelled as reporting. We do not infer, characterise or score ownership. Missing facts read “Not available in public records as of” a date. More on ownership.

Notices

Notices come from DCR’s Product Recalls page, read through the feed Missouri Micro shares with MOGanja.⁷ Only notices naming an MBD or MBW license are listed, because micro businesses cannot receive product from medical or comprehensive facilities.
